A Million Days by Elizabeth Roetzel

A Million Days

12 x 9, Assemblage on Canvas

One symbolism for the waterfall is outer constancy combined with inner growth. The body of the waterfall remains the same even though the individual drops are renewed each second. This aspirational piece reminds us that our potential for inner change is unlimited. Also, the sound of falling water is comparable to the sound of breath, thus denoting the flow of life, energy, and consciousness. The title was taken from a line in a Jimi Hendrix song, "Fall with me for a million days...oh, my waterfall.”
